The MDC Power product portfolio comprehends engines, which offers customers the best possible combination of economy and performance. Low fuel consumption and weight, coupled with impressive performance and torque are the main features of the products. The engines leave MDC Power in prime quality and are shipped to about 20 car plants on five continents.

Four-cylinder diesel engine
This engine sets standards in power range, torque, emission characteristics and efficiency. For the first time the two-stage charging is realised in a serial pc diesel engine here. It is used in several Mercedes cars (e.g. C-Class. E-Class, GLK) and trucks.

• Displacement: 2.2 liter
• Power: 65 to 147 kW
• Torque: max. 500 Nm

Three-cylinder diesel engine
Not only does this engine comply with all European exhaust gas standards; at 3.3 litres per 100 kilometres it has the lowest consumption in its class. With CO₂ emission of just 86 grams per kilometre, the engine has the lowest CO₂ emission of all cars on the market today. Since February 2009 the new variant of this motor with closed particulate filter is built in Kölleda too.

Four-cylinder gasoline engine
The new generation of Mercedes-Benz gasoline engines is fitted in the new compact class (A- and B-Class). They are designed to fit both front and rear wheel drive and are produced in Kölleda since July 2011.

• Displacement: 1.6 liter
• Power: 90 to 115 kW
• Torque: 200 to 250 Nm

Further variants with displacement of 2.0 liters are scheduled.
